Here's an absolutely beautiful gold plated horse shoe ring from my collection dug in a Michigan cavalry camp near Potomac Run, in Stafford, Va. This one is a gem in every way, and still retains about 98% of it's original gold plating. It has a very small jewelers repair at the very bottom, but you'd have to search for it. This one of the nicest dug rings you'll ever see, and would be a great asset to your relic collection. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos.
