    Description

    For sale is a Native American basket with an oval shape.
    This basket is circa 1920s to 1940s as It depicts a canoe, likely a whaling scene & other geometric designs typical of the period.
    It is made from dyed bear grass with cedar bark around the edge that the lid fits onto.
    This basket incorporates the wrapped twines technique which is able to produce small, delicate, finely tuned work such as this example.
    There is a wonderful patina to this basket.
    The measurements are 3 1/2 L +++2 1/2" H X 2" W and the basket is in very good condition.
