German theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918.
Matte-finish signed photograph “Mit herzlichen Grüßen Euer treuer Onkel Max Planck” and dated in Planck’s hand „3.6.38“.
2.5 x 3.5 photograph affixed to a 4.5 x 7.0 inch mount. Berlin, 1938, June 3, Photograph by Atelier Binz. With a printed message of thanks related to Planck’s eightieth birthday. Stain upper right edge, handling wear, else good condition.
